LSU won its conference championship which gave it the SOS edge it needed to move ahead. SOS has been eliminated as a factor, except for where it affects the computer polls. As far as Florida and LSU examples go, as I already said, the SEC team will always get the bid over other teams with the same record, or even with one-less-loss. And as far as last year and Missouri's case goes, the BCS can't take three Big12 teams. Oklahoma was an automatic bid, and the Orange Bowl went with 1-loss Kansas over 2-loss Missouri. |
