Just my (and apparently a few others') opinion. Feel free to defend Urban, I know he gave you the best two years of your life as a Ute fan.

I'm not defending him at all. I'm just pointing out that what he did was not against the rules.

But if you want to be bitter because he's the one coach your beloved Cougars has never defeated, that's ok.

This isn't an Urban thing. When the Broncos did it to the Raiders and the Raiders did it to the Browns, I thought each time it was equally cheap.

So, you're saying that you don't like coaches/teams to play the sport by the rules?

Yes. That's exactly what I'm saying. Good catch.

Ok, then. I just wanted to make sure I understood.

I actually believe him to be opining that although it may be technically allowed by the rules, it seems unsportsmanlike to engage in that sort of gamesmanship. I agree. I understand he's trying to win, but that sort of gamesmanship offends my sense of fair play. I'm glad it had no effect on the game.

I realize that I may be in the minority, but as long as it isn't against the rules, I'm ok with it. It didn't work for Meyer in this case and kudos for the kicker getting it done.

There are times I agree with that sentiment.

And maybe my dislike of Meyer makes me fall prey to this argument. However, I dislike the break in flow of continuity timeouts create. I like a free-flow to the game because I hate television breaks.

You're okay with AFA Falcons cheap cut blocking tactics, even though they're allowed by the rules, in spite of the many injuries it causes?
