The stadium is being used as a evacuation site, and the Chargers are playing a home game in Phoenix this week. It's a decent bet the game will be moved/canceled.

About the only good thing about a conference championship is to use in weak Ute smack. Nobody else is impressed.

No it wasn't Ute smack it was smack against the smackers. I'm usually a pretty fair representation of Utah County BYU fan population. Go ask 1,000 BYU fans which season was more satisfying 1994 10-3 win over Notre Dame, Oklahoma blow out win in bowl game, and top 25 ranking, but 2nd place in WAC or 1995 7-4 WAC champions no bowl game no signature win. Conference championship means JACK.

Well, back in the day when a bowl bid actually meant something, winning the conference championship ensured you actually went to a bowl. Otherwise, you often found yourself home for the holidays (see Wyoming 1996 at 10-2).

I have no desire to ask 1,000 people in Utah County anything. How about if someone posts a poll on CB and ask that? Would that be a fair representation?

Because the league doesn't want to have to fight off the complaints from UNM, AFA, Utah and whatever school that still has the illusion that they can still win the conference this year.

My guess is they're gonna postpone the game and re-schedule it for Nov 30 or Dec. 1.
