How about you just trust me on this one.

They should just find some high school field in San Diego. I watched some of the SDSU-New Mexico game and trust me, they couldn't fill a high school stadium. That is not attendance smack, either. That is the truth.

Ok, but I have to ask why? Afraid there are more BYU folks who care about conference titles than you'd like to think?

I agree with this. SDSU attendance is dismal.

There would be a better chance of the game allowed to be played at Helix High School than Provo.

I think the extent of the caring is two-fold

1. It means that they had some measure of a successful season
2. It means that Utah didn't win it

Yes, I'm terrified BYU fans would find the

1995 season
7-4, pathetic offense, boring schedule, missed bowl game for first time in years, but grabbed a tie for WAC championship

was more successful than

1994 season
10-3, win at Notre Dame, blowout of Oklahoma in bowl, top 25 ranking, but blew the conf championship

Without fail, Indy posts more proof that he is less a BYU fan and more a Ute hater.

Ok, 2 final questions then:

Do you think Bronco and his team are silly to say that winning the conference title is their number one goal each season?

If that's what the team wants, why shouldn't the fans want it as well?

I don't see why the stadium can't be used as an evacuation center and still have the game played there. Judging by how empty the stands usually are for their games, there ought to be plenty of room.

How many posts do I have over on Utefans? If I was such a Ute hater more than a BYU fan, wouldn't I have more posts over on Utefans trying to rile up the drooling hordes rather than posting on Cougarboard/Cougarguard with only rare mentions of Utah?
