The religious aspect of BYU makes pussies of the entire conference.

This same crap happens in every conference. Nobody wants to allow one team to run away with it all so they run it like a contest in Primary and seek to make everyone leaving feeling good about themselves. Anyone with a pulse knows that Harvey Unga is the best offensive player in the conference and that Bronco Mendenhall ran roughsod over the conference after replacing all of his key weapons from next year but they don't want any one individual program to monopolize the awards, it is not an anti-BYU bias it is an anti-monopoly bias and it is just that historically and presently BYU is the monopilistic winner in its conference.

So it is not a conspiracy it is the underlying rules and desire to make everyone feel good.
I agree mostly, but I do think that Chad Hall was legit as the OPOY.

As for Calhoun the precedent has been set in the MWC/WAC that the coach of the year award is basically a most improved award. It rarely goes to the best coach in the conference. Look at basketball and look at how infrequently that Majerus won the award.

I'm proud of the people that booed Thompson. He is sending the entire conference into the toilet.

I care about All American awards, not conference awards. Fans nationally notice AA awards and don't give a crap about in conference awards. Let the conference award the last place team's coaches and players for all I care.

MWC stats only. Not the entire season, just the MWC campaign. How would those numbers look? Perhaps that's why they chose the players they did.

Booing someone who is giving you an award is tacky.

I'm trying to remember ... wasn't there a basketball coach who won the MWC award just days before he was fired for having a lousy season? I want to say it was Air Force, but I can't remember. Late 90's-ish?

Not if they deserve it.

Hair deserves a lifetime exemption from being cheered for anything, ever again.
