My persistence on this debate is much more about what's driving you than what should happen/did happen to Hawaii. They already made a BCS game and got their asses handed to them on a platter. I just want to know why your internal computer model is inconsistent with your treatment of Hawaii.

I definitely did NOT think VT was a top 12 team. Their offense is a complete joke (99th) and the only really good team (LSU) they played completely undressed them. BYU is better than VT.

First, let's be clear, I think we'll be in Vegas next December. Second, you do realize that a SOS of 60 is half of Hawaii's right?

Ask me what horn I'd be tooting if we were #120 SOS.

You seem to keep trying to cornering me as a BYU homer. If BYU ever gets there I certainly hope we've earned it, and will be the first to say we didn't if we haven't.

To answer your question undefeated against a 60/70 SOS (assuming we're not barely pulling wins out against UNLV and Utah St) is a no-brainer BCS bid. There isn't a computer in the world that wouldn't have us in the top 12. I'd agree with them. If Hawaii's had an SOS of 60/70 or had a much-improved MOV, I'd be on board. They didn't and I'm not.

4. #11 ASU They got embarassed by a crappy three loss Texas team whose best win was over #33 Texas Tech and lost to #67 Kansas State
5. #12 South Florida. Got trounced by #20 Oregon in their bowl
6. #13 9-3 Clemson lost their bowl game to #22 Auburn
7. #14 10-3 BC lost 3 of last 5 games and barely beat #38 Mich State in bowl game
8. #16 9-3 Cincinnati. Lost to #50 Louisville and #61 Pitt. At least they won their bowl game
9. #17 BYU? I could go for that.

Those are the teams ranked higher than Hawaii in the computers. Not a lot of teams jump out at you.
