Interesting. So your hope for BYU is to game the system, sneak in the BCS back door undeservedly, and get lucky in a BCS bowl. I guess I can see that when you put it that way. It's not my hope for BYU, but I can see the logic.

"No we adulterate and repent privately."

"So no church discipline?"

"Nope. Do you wish we'd have to put people through all that unnecessary judgmentalism, or just keep it quiet, cover our sins, and gratify our pride and vain ambitions?"

"Keep it quiet! Then we could go for the TELESTIAL KINGDOM!!"

And I thought, "Santos and the rest of the no-discipline group have another in their corner."

Whoa! Did Tex just admit to having a kid?

Wow. Times are a changin'.

When was the last time we had a lot of excitement in January or late December?

1996? We didn't beat anyone worth a hill of beans that year leading up to the bowl game. Texas A&M was 6-6.

1984? That was our 2nd worst SOS in 30 years.

So like I said before, you need to decide what's a higher priority for you: good games in September or excitement in January.

I want both.

I believe when we're BCS worthy, we'll make the BCS no matter what our schedule is. I don't believe in back dooring the BCS. First, I don't believe it's as easy or as common as you think, and second I don't believe the benefit received by gaming the BCS is that great. I believe the benefits of a tough (relatively--since my idea of tough is still a relatively weak schedule compared to other top teams), far outweigh a cream puff schedule.

Strange. I read it differently.

I saw Tex open the door to the possibility that he and his gay partner adopted a child.

So what is a representative example of what you'd like to see, using 2008 teams for your example?

Two powerhouses.

Two middle to bottom pack BCS.

USC, Texas, Arizona, Indiana

Do you think BYU could pull off that kind of schedule, even if they wanted to; meaning actually succeeding in convincing 4 schools of that level to sign contracts?

I think they can get close. We've never had a problem in the past scheduling.

You must not be paying very good attention to who we've attemped to schedule and what Holmoe has said on the subject.
