Default Late night Olympics

The advantage of having to occasionally work nights is that you get to see the events that everyone else misses...
Amazing V-ball semifinal last night between Russia and US. US wins the first two, looks pretty dominant, then falls apart for the rest of the match. I still don't know how they pulled off the fifth set as they really didn't deserve to, but we are now in our third volleyball final of the games. For BYU interest, two of the starting six are BYU guys.
Then the highlight...
Olympic walking. Complete with slo-mos of the water stops.

I woke up, couldn't sleep, watched some of the walking, went right back to sleep.

Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.

Yeah...I totally forgot the women indoor team (well, and I just woke up to find out they won). Logan Tom (Highland HS grad) is on that team and easily the best player.

Oh...another connection: Keri Walsh is married to Casey Jennings, also played at BYU (and I'm told is still active LDS).

I was entertained, in the same way as T Blue entertains me--is this serious, or just brilliant satire?
