Is that a fault of BYU or the NBA in misjudging tallish players?

Araujo surprised me, and I didn't follow his career enough to know what caused him to fail.

Bradley was simply lazy from what I can tell. Before this season, I was down on Plaisted, because of foul shooting, excessive fouling out and having no right hand. He still doesn't drive the baseline with his right hand, but to his credit he has improved. I believe he could continue to improve if he stays.

Interestingly, Roberts and Kite are contemporaries. Maybe it wasn't the coaching so much as the talent that kept Kite from being a long term NBA player. On a side note, I think BYU should take advantage of Fred and have him work with their big men. He has better footwork and mental acumen for the game than anyone I've ever played against.

Araujo failed because he never learned to do the little things that make a big man good. He was all physique and never used angles, leverage, spacing, and timing.

In other words, he sucked.

I don't think he ever understood that he was no longer the biggest and strongest guy on the floor when he got to the NBA.
