As far as I can tell they didn't even name an "All-State" POY
Hartsock was on the first team All-Metro.

Note that I have no idea as to how many different 'POY' awards there are in this area, but it seems apparent Noah won at least one of them.

OK, thanks for finding that. I couldn't find the coaches' choice.
The Tulsa World cite seems odd in that he wasn't their All-Metro POY selection. That much I know. Stranger things have happened, as their All-Metro POY was only a soph.

The Daily Oklahoman names an All-State team. When I get a chance I can use a more powerful news search tool.

I don't know that it's that important. The point is, he was pretty darn good player in OK.

I expect him to be a pretty darn good player for BYU in a few years.

I reckon we can agree the burden of proof was met. Perhaps HS hoops is not something you watch too much or perhaps it doesn't get much attention in the media sources you follow.

Regardless, we all look forward to Oklahoma 6-A POY Noah Harstock continuing to lead BYU to regular season glories!

I don't read the Tulsa Whirlled. The 2006 Daily Oklahoman Oklahoma POY was Keith Clarke. Perhaps some regional biases there.

I guess I am up to speed now on Mr. Hartsock, we'll see how he looks after 2 years of door knocking.

He was a missionary in the SLC mission. My guess is there wasn't a great deal of doorknocking. I am hopefull Coach Rose kept close tabs on his development the past two years.

Hartsock averaged 28 ppg in the largest school division in Oklahoma. Odds are that he's a good player, regardless of finding some 10 word blurb from a newspaper in a 700 person, one horse town referencing his accolades or not.

Fredette made it clear before he signed with BYU that he had no plans to serve a mission.
