Our lack of talent at the 1 and 2 was the deciding factor. I'm not saying Burgess and Murdock played poorly, I'm saying that they couldn't really do much on either end of the court. Fredette, I think, must be steaming that Rose put Loyd on the floor with Murdock, but I think Rose knew that if Burgess was having to pick up his jock all over the court, then Fredette would have been a spectator.

Overall a good effort. Cummard needs to be smarter obviously and stay out of foul trouble. I wish we could have set some picks for Tavernari, but I guess that isn't the offense. I think the experience will be really valuable and help in the crunch time later in the season.

Whoever said that Plaisted hasn't improved that much this season is dead wrong. He's twice as good this year. Hopefully the team can stay tough and really not have any letdowns throughout the year. Here's to a one loss record baby.

I'm extremely impressed with Plaisted. Tav, not so much. His lack on conscience is great when he's on, but he was ice cold and kept casting. It was interesting how in the first half he was getting lots of props from Vitale, and in the second half wasn't ever mentioned unless it was to comment about how he shouldn't shoot inside the arc because he can't make it from in there. These announcers had no background at all, so they only had this game to go on and they concluded that Tav was a caster, putting Cummard ahead of him in team importance. This game was bad news for Tav. Hopefully he can redeem himself.

Overall, I'm very impressed with the team and can't imagine losing more than 5 or 6 games this year.

Plaisted was amazing. This is what we've been hoping he would progress to for the last two seasons.

Poor shot selection in the second half hurt us. We're a good three point shooting team, but we're not a good three point shooting team when we shoot turn around or off balance 3's or 3's with a hand in the face.

North Carolina had too much quickness for us.

Pretty good game, overall. Gotta be happy right now as a BYU FB and BB fan.

Didn't watch the game, but hanging with UNC the way BYU did was more impressive than the Louisville win. BYU should be ranked in the top 25 this week, and shouldn't have too much trouble with the MWC.

I thought BYU looked great tonight, but...

I'm confused by how they finished. Every play should have gone through the post.

BYU did not have a FG in the last *7 minutes* of the game. That's bad coaching, IMHO.

I know UNC stepped up the D; I could see that. But why all the 25 ftrs when the guards clearly had tired legs. They should have continued to feed the post and crash the boards.

You have to teach a team how to finish – that's what matters come tourney time. And, yes, I know it's early.

Weird ending to a great game.

Wow that's pretty bad. 59-58 with 7:54, and all we get the rest of the way is 2 FTs and a meaningless dunk. I remember the team having really long droughts during the Travis Hansen years, but figured that was Cleveland's fault. Hopefully that gets fixed.

UNC is better than any team in the MWC. It won't be as difficult for the Y during conference play.

If anyone would've told me before the game that Plaisted would've more than held his own on the same court against a player the caliber of Hansborough, I'd have said you were smoking some serious doobage.

Pass the bowl please.
