The Utes have problems on the offensive end. The defense has been the focus since Boylen got here, because he knows that is where you win. The offense will come with time.

This team will not be fixed until we can start phasing out Nevill.

that's funny. when I played basketball, we got coached about both offense and defense. Boylen can't walk and chew gum?

So, 5 games into his junior season you're done with Nevill?

If you have faith that the team is turning around under Boylan, then why not have faith that he can toughen up Nevill. These type of changes don't happen over night.

Because last night Nevill played a team that didn't have anyone over 6-7. In this game he went to the free throw line zero times, got only 4 rebounds, and shot only 50%.

Look at guys like Weigh and Borha, they have improved a ton and improved quickly. Nevill just hasn't improved, in fact in many ways he looks worse.

I'm not saying that he doesn't have a long ways to go, he does...but it is silly to give up on him at this point.

Plus he has no legit back up.

Priorities.

This Utah team became extremely soft on defense under Giac.

I agree with Funk.

I think Boylen is going to prove to be a heck of a coach. He's a strict disciplinarian that requires his players focus on the fundamentals. I like Boylen's approach to the game. I especially like his enthusiasm. At times he reminds me former Wyoming Cowboys Coach McClain where the guy seems like he's about to spontaneously combust at any moment, although he doesn't look as weasly as McClain. I digress,,,but it's safe to say I like his approach and think that Boylen has a bright future as the coach up there.

It'll take a while, but I think given time to learn the system and gel that near the end of the season they will be very difficult to beat.

In the words of your favorite band Foreigner or maybe it is Journey, who really can tell the difference, "Don't stop believin'"

The defense is much improved and at the end of the season you will see the Utes ranked in the upper half of the NCAA in FG% defense.
