Default Jimmy Fredette the likely second coming of Danny Ainge

Yes and Carlon Brown is the second coming of Andre Miller.

Sure he sounds like a nice get, but this is just funny.

Mind you that's ONE Y fan saying this, so don't bunch us all in. You haven't bunched us all in, but somehow Y and U fans alike will take a post they see and say...."look what Yewt "fans" or BYU fans are saying and lump most of them in as if they're speaking for the masses.

No not bunching you all in, I'm pretty sure this is an isolated crackpot who has believed all the hype that a family member has given the player.

This guy has followed Jimmer all year and given updates, i do think he is a family member. I am not quite sold on a player whose best offers other than BYUs came from Siena and High Point, however his highschool numbers speak for themselves and as Indy pointed out in a previous post he was not playing small school ball either.

I have a friend in Glen Falls right now selling security systems and he said this kid is a legend. All i care about is if he can get the ball across half court under pressure and start the offense, we are seriously lacking at the PG position for next year.

I appreciate prof-bball's updates on Fredette. I was all in on the Jimmer hype until I saw the video highlights which were very uh ummm ... pasty. That turned me into a bit of a skeptic. I think he'll end up a 2 at BYU and if he starts next year at the 1 it will be because of the dire situation at that position more than anything else. I'm sorry but I just don't see him breaking down even a MWC lower level point guard to get in the paint and make something happen. I guess Ainge never did that either (Austin not Danny--let's keep the comparisons sane), but that's what I prefer from my point.
