Default Keep the doughnut leave me the hole

http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases...1001061055.htm

In the absence of another outlet I come here, read the many issues/arguments and ask, often aloud, 'what is in the hole'. Invariably I am seen as opposition, irrational, incomprehensible … perhaps, I am the hole in the doughnut?

One of the greatest inspirations/influences on me as an artist: http://www.henry-moore-fdn.co.uk/ You have to wonder, at least in part, if he wasn't trying to sculpt the hole?

And for a little doughnut history humor: http://www.elliskaiser.com/doughnuts/history.html

interesting post. I think few of us here are truly artisitic types and so may have a hard time seeing things from your perspective. I appreciate your effort to help us get it.

I'm no artist, so I maybe wrong, but it looks to me like he saw the donuts here:

Or brass knuckles of a two fingered thug! For an abstract connection to the idea:

Just as the donut isn't a donut without the hole, the hole is defined by its position in relation to the donut. It's a nice balance, where each needs the other to exist.

Requires some research. I'll get back to you in about 3,000 calories.

I answered that in my original post ... they are not doughnuts, they are 'maple bars', 'fritters', 'jelly filled doughnuts' but not "pure" doughnuts!
