I was a superfan back in the day. Like many (if not most) Americans, my enthusiasm waned as behavior became increasinly bizarre and the child molestation charges surfaced.

So now that he's gone, it somehow seems like we can let that all go and just appreciate the artistry for what it was. I've got a strong urge to purchase Thriller again. In fact, I had but one Jacksons tune on my ipod before: Jackson 5: I Want You Back. I've listened to that several times in the past few days. Good stuff.

I've still resisted the urge to buy Thriller off itunes. Wish I knew where my old cassette tape was. Of course, then I'd have to find a way to play it.
