So what are you looking for beyond the issued apology from last year?

I'll wait for your post instructing me why the Catholic analogy is a poor one.

Probably good for the Catholics that they didn't choose to wait for a hundred years before apologizing.

So are you admitting it is a relevant analogy?

The best lesson for the church relating to the Mountain Meadows Massacre is that no event that even approximates it has happened in the decades since.

Default Sure religion had something to do with the MMM

Do you think that the religous group that did it, could claim that religion didn't have anything to do with it, or that it wasn't really a big deal, or that it was partially justified, or that it really ought not be discussed anymore?

As someone who grew up in the church, it is really, really hard to wrap my mind around MMM. Not only the murders, but the coverup of the murders, the sustaining of the people that did it, years after the fact, the framing of just one man, sending him to the slaughter so that the others would be unpunished.

And really here is the scary part: there is no institutional guilt. Think about the price paid by many individuals to make that happen. Think about the magnitude of that kind of lying. And the damage it must do to ones soul.
try reading some Church History and you can see why they were fed up with how they were being treated and then one of their church leaders gets killed in Arkansas and a group of Arkansans comes through. Wasn't right but I can understand why they snapped.

But you chose to believe they were told to by the Brethren in SLC. You choose to blame everything on the Brethren. Some of us don't.

wants the Church to adopt his view on gay marriage. Am I missing any other policies? You ought to start your own church since you are obviously receiving revelation contrary to the 'brethren'.
