Utah? Hard to get worked up about. More like an aggravating barnacle on the hull.
The guys who start the bonfire have a .333% winning percentage lifetime against lowly BYU.

Good to know arson is a higher priority than winning football games.

That's crap. How many deaths have you had in that UT-A&M game? If it's not Man U vs Liverpool it's nothin.

The rivalry truly is a brother v brother affair for me ... I will spend this entire week anxious, worked up even, waiting, hoping, planning that phone call to bothers and brother in-law in the event of a BYU victory ... and refusing to answer the phone if the yewts win.

Because when we were growing up (outside of Utah) it was rarely a good game. It wasn't until the 90's that the rivalry was a good one. I get excited about it now but until I was actually a student at BYU the Utah game was nothing to me.

until I moved to Dallas, I literally only met one Univ. of Utah grad. that I knew of.

I never would have considered attending UofU. I didn't know anyone who had UofU on their list. But if you grow up in Texas, you probably have friends going to both schools. Both shcools are in your universe. For a Momron kid not in Utah-area, UofU is not in your universe.

I don't know that I really like them. It's more like a bad marriage. You stay together for the kids.
