I'm saying you can get one or the other right now. BYU has NEVER NEVER NEVER shown an ability to do both. If you'd care to, I can run all the nauseating details on our historical records vs BCS teams, ranked BCS teams and bowl games.

Understand our place in the NCAA universe and accept it. Understand that you can have one or the other but almost certainly not both. If you believe we can have both, you don't have history on your side and you're certainly a helluva lot less realistic than I am.

The odds of beating someone in one BCS game after a creampuff schedule is greater than the odds of beating several ranked BCS teams in the preseason and even being eligible to take on another team in a BCS bowl game.

So state your priority: is September more important to you than January?

It's our fault we had USU and N. Iowa on the schedule. But that's a seperate issue.

Many fans and apparently the coach and admin think this year's schedule is ideal.

I've heard no one state that Northern Iowa was an ideal situation.

We suck. We'll never be a legit top 12 team. But I want the BCS oh so badly, no matter if we deserve it or not. Let's game the schedule and hope we can make it to BCS.

That attitude is so disgusting it makes me puke. How can you even defend it?

Maybe I've been running under a false assumption: are you a 1st grader?

Is September more important to you than January? Yes or no?

No but you and my 1st grader have the exact same opinion on BYU's schedule.

Indy Coug and the rest of the pussy schedule group have another in their corner.
How interesting! Coincidentally, my kid's friend thinks the Bishop should be involved in everyone's repentance, and my kid is talking to me about how awesome it is that we would never talk to the Bishop about anything.

"Do we talk to him about when we commit adultery?"

"No we adulterate and repent privately."

"So no church discipline?"

"Nope. Do you wish we'd have to put people through all that unnecessary judgmentalism, or just keep it quiet, cover our sins, and gratify our pride and vain ambitions?"

"Keep it quiet! Then we could go for the TELESTIAL KINGDOM!!"

And I thought, "Santos and the rest of the no-discipline group have another in their corner."

I want an exciting September/regular season no matter what. I want to engage in the season, not avoid it. If we're a legit top 12 team, we'll rise to the occasion and win the games we need to, to be there.

I'm pragmatic. I don't like our schedule (although when Washington and UCLA were scheduled there was a reasonable expectation they would NOT suck as hard as they do), but I understand that jacking up the difficulty is not an answer if BCS glory is high on the list of program priorities.

I don't like the proposed $700B goverment bailout, but I recognize it as a pragmatic necessity.

Please stay out of the football forum with this trash.
