Gifford Nielsen is one of those who paved the way for Detmer. I might even be said that without Nielsen, there would have been no Detmer.

Why not invite him?

Giff is in the college football hall of fame, and does a helluva good job reading the telecaster.

Nielsen was a leading Heisman candidate in 1977 before his ACL against Oregon State.

GN is our Dale Murphy. Good guy, stake president, community leader, raised millions for charity.

What has Ty done, except held a clipboard for Michael Vick?

It's not just about what happens on the field.

True. People have to realize at BYU is a lot more than about what happens on the field.

The only exception is their desire to take advantage of what happens on the field and bring in money.
