I'm not really into opening ceremonies, but that was amazing.

Holy crap. That was absolutely incredible. I have never seen anything like it. Surfah and I could not believe how ridiculously awesome it was. Wow.

Top that London. Like Costas said they should end it there because no one can match that.

How about Yao Ming and that little boy as the Chinese flag bearers? I thought that was way cool, especially towards the end when Yao was holding the boy. Yao seemed truly moved during the interview - I'm very impressed with him. And with the little boy too.

I just watched it today after returning from a huge scout encampment in NorCal. It was without a doubt the most stunning visual spectacle I have ever seen. At one point Costas used the phrase "awesome and perhaps a bit intimidating" and I thought he described exactly what I was feeling. The sheer numbers combined with the minute attention to detail was absolutely amazing. I wish I could have been there to witness that live as I think it will be talked about for years to come.

That was cool. A nice touch. I was amazed that the little guy seemed so relaxed.

The thing I kept thinking is how organized the people were. And with two thousand people doing kung fu in synchronization it made me realize that the Chinese could probably kick our ass if they wanted to.
