Giac's defense
I was watching Texas Tech, and was supremely unimpressed with their defense.
Yet I know that Bobby Knight is well-known and well-regarded for his defensive coaching and philosophy. Folks, it's not always on the coach. Sometimes the players just plain stink and don't put out the effort. I will be very amused if Utah has a poor defense next year. It's not that unlikely. |

Giac recruited these players and if they suck, it's his fault for recruiting them and not teaching them to be better. Santos is right - the Utes will be better rebounders just because of the fact that Boylen comes from the coaching loins of Heathcoate. Boylen's comment that "if a guy goes through the lane he's going to get hit" tells me that he's a defensive minded guy.

So now you're passing definitive judgment on Knights defense. Is there any subject on which you don't claim to be an expert?

Everyone humors Santos with his ridiculous cooked numbers.
