I wish some of you clydesdales wouldnt' try to work off the weight by running. Do something that's not as hard on the knees, i.e. mix it up some more.

ERC, did you read the article that RCV posted yesterday regarding losing that extra 10 pounds (or whatever it was)? I thought it was a well written article with some good advice.

The one thing that helped me drop some weight this spring was keeping track of everything that I ate, everyday. I used fitday.com upon FMCougs recommendation. I use some estimating liberties, mostly due to laziness. If I spent more than about 2 minutes after each meal tracking calories, then it was too long. They have a huge database of food on their site, and most of it is pretty accurate.

Sunday through Thursday I limited myself to 2400 calories, with free days on Friday and Saturday. Its really not that bad. Mainly it makes me think twice about that third bowl of cereal or handful of Herseys Kisses as I pass by my receptionists desk.

Good luck. You sound motivated to do it.

We're both about the same rate--a pound a week. Good luck.

Any decision on penalties? I want to know the downside before I join.

When I was trying to keep up with you last year I didn't see any weight you needed to lose.

If you don't make your goal you treat everybody to a night in Jackson and a nice dinner at the Mange Moose.
