Started today. Just thought I would post something about sports as long as I was over here. I predict Nadal victory. But you never know. . . that's the beauty of tennis.

Once Americans stopped winning, I stopped watching. I suppose the Williams sisters or sister still win occasionally, but overall the state of American tennis appears to be in permanent decline.

Tennis is the only sport I can talk about, or rather, stand to talk about.

And, Arch, if you only just stopped watching when Americans stopped winning, you must not have stopped THAT long ago. The Sampras/Agassi years are not that long ago. Anyway, two American men have had fairly big breakthroughs in the last year or so, Mardy Fish and John Isner. Of course, Isner lost on the first day yesterday. . . as did Venus. And then you have the Bryan brothers. But part of the beauty of tennis is that because it's such an individual sport, you can have favorites from all around the world. You all are missing out. I know many tennis fans, Mike, so there.

I'm not anti-tennis. I just don't go out of my way to watch it. It's above golf, but well below soccer.

btw, shouldn't you be a tennis mom? Shouldn't you be grooming your kids in tennis, to see if they have some talent?

Absolutely, I should! I am currently planning my move to FL so the training can begin more in earnest soon.
