Cartel, the boardgame
I am working on a boardgame that is going to be in the tradition of many of the great Eurogames (Puerto Rico, Tigris and Euphrates, and others).
It is going to be called Cartel, and it will be a resource development and delivery game with a bit of a majority influence aspect that will deal with the development of drug trafficking networks throughout the world. Anyhow, I have worked out the game mechanics already, and I am now working on some of the game art so that I can prototype it and start playtesting with my local games group. 'goons' are one of the basic types of things a cartel will have to develop in order to spread the network and protect trade routes. There are three types of 'goons,' and here is the beginning of the game art for them: |

The game is going to be big in dorm rooms. I am trying to make something that will appeal to both the Axis&Allies and Risk crowds as well as the Eurogamers. |

Risk rules; however, in high school, my two best friends and I decided that we valued our friendship too much so we quit playing it, as it always resulted in fisticuffs before the game was over.
