Default i watched freakin king kong last night...

holy cow that has to be the weirdest show i have ever seen in my life.

3 hours long, weird uncomfortable scenes, unexplained activities, weird freakin animals, weird, just weird. oh and very contrived.

i did not enjoy it.

was it not weird?

the dinosaurs, the bugs, the slurping pink beasts, the giant gila monsters, the bats with glowing eyes, the whacked out natives, the uncomfortable moments of silence between beast and beauty...

i kept trying to figure out if jackson was trying to create moments of uncomfortable beauty. and it seemed like there were at least 5 points in the movie where youd have a touching scene interrupted by bullets, of bombs, or weird animals....

the love interest between the two also weirded me out. i was convinced she loved him.

i think what tipped me over the edge was when brody was getting the bugs shot off his back by a machine gun from a closed eye nervous boy.....

i shut down after that scene.

i will say some people in our theater were super impressed and one lady was balling after the movie....

i THOUGHT about the relationship between Anne and Kong and finally realized something.

Everyone in her life has given up on her. Everyone. the old man at the start is evidenced of this.

Kong fought for her. She loved him as a father figure not as a "love" physical attraction love. that was a.brody's nose.

now how she developed that relationship....the vaudville flop and act....that was weird.
