Default So how good is the MWC?

4 teams with 9 or more wins and TCU has a good shot at 8 wins.

We are also 3-0 in bowl games (although in each game we have been favored)

thoughts?

It's looking good for us, but I'm not sure that bowls tell us much of anything anymore. None of us have even played a good team.

I was thinking about this this morning. The MWC is in bad shape. Utah struggles to beat Navy; New Mexico plays in a gimme bowl against Nevada. Our conference champion, the team that hasn't lost in conference for over two years, eeks out a win against the Pac-10's 157th place team. It's December 23 and the MWC bowl games are over. We're bad AND we're irrelevant.

I disagree about the conference being in bad shape, especially when it comes to bowl games. Should AFA and TCU get wins, the conference will be sitting at 5-0 in the post season. Undefeated in bowl games - no matter the opponent - is a solid performance.

Agreed. As Bronco has said, progression is a step-by-step process. The important thing is that we win the games, no matter the competition. Next, we improve the competition.

Bronco is a prophet. All MWC schools would do well to follow his guidance.

Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.
