NFL Draft
Do we have any NFL draft watchers in the house?
I must say that I enjoy watching the NFL draft (meaning, having it on while I do other things, like putting a crib together this weekend). I particularly enjoy seeing who my team is picking, who unexpectedly falls, and which MWC players get drafted. I saw a 7 round mock draft that has Philly taking Bryan Kehl in the 3rd round. Beau Bell was a 5th rounder, as was Davic Roch (TCU) and Tommy Blake fell to the 7th. I think that if Blake can get his act together, he could be a real steal. |

If they got the draft to the point where there were 3 minutes between picks, I would start watching.

I like seeing who the Jets pick in the first round.

I am doing a mock draft on friday with some buddies (one of which posts on this board) and then I will watch every minute of the draft on both saturday and sunday. I love the NFL draft!

Kiper said if Matt Ryan isn't picked in the first 8 picks, he will quit the business.
He said this on Mike&Mike. |

Ryan will go to either Atlanta at 3, Kansas City at 5 or Baltimore at 8. No way he slides past Baltimore with Steve Mcnair retiring.

My top 5 looks like this for now:
1. Miami- Jake Long 2. St. Louis- Glenn Dorsey 3. Atlanta- Matt Ryan 4. Oakland- Darren Mcfadden (Howies boy will be hard to pass up here, but Al Davis loves the sexy pick) 5. Chiefs- Chris Long 6. Jets- Vernon Gholston 7. Patriots- Mike Jenkins (I think they take a corner or LB here, Rodgers-Cromartie, Jenkins, Talib and Mckelvin are all even) 8. Baltimore- Sedrick Ellis (with Ngata and Ellis, Baltimore is sitting pretty for a long time at D-line) 9. Bengals- Keith Rivers (they were awful at LB last year, Rivers is a nice piece) 10. Saints- Leodis Mckelvin Also since I am a Miami fan I think Miamis draft looks like this: 1.(1) Jake Long: OT, Michigan 2.(32) Malcom Kelly : WR, Oklahoma (if they trade Jason Taylor this could be Lawrence Jackson, it could also very easily be Chad Henne) 2. (57) Antoine Cason: CB, Arizona (not sure if he falls this far but if not him then another corner possibly Patrick Lee) 3. (64) Joe Flacco:QB, Deleware (they will take a QB in either the 2nd or 3rd round of this draft) 4. (100) Jermichael Finley: TE, Texas (they really need a tight end in this offense) 6. (196) Nick Hayden: DT, Wisconsin (the 6th round is where your scouts make their money) 6. (204)Jonathen Hefney: S, Tennessee (they looked like BYU at the safety position last year, starting 5 safeties on the season) 7. (208) Allen Patrick: RB, Oklahoma (this could also be a little more help on the O-line) 7. (245) Marcus Monk: WR, Arkansas I would also not be surprised if Jason Taylor is traded (probably a late first or early second round as well as a future 4th or 5th round pick) and Miami packages a few other picks to move up.

I don't think Flacco will go to the third round. Sorry.
