Default a good friend of mine baptized one of the trolley square victims

On his mission he baptized her, Theresa Ellis. He was also at her temple wedding and is going to her funeral tonight, he is pretty sad about it, but said he really feels now that he went on his mission for a reason.

I was recently discussing the connectedness of people in the world.

Here I am, seemingly far removed from this tragedy.

me -> Sizzle36 -> coworker (shot)
me -> cougjunkie -> good friend -> Theresa Ellis (murdered)

Most murders seem so distant and unconnected. This one feels different.

I wish we felt more connected in this way to all the other victims. We might be willing to take more action.

Speaking of Theresa Ellis, Sister Lebowski and I were reading the obits this morning in the paper and we read through hers. It mentions her husband Nathan in a couple of places. I recall seeing him interviewed on the TV the other day and he was saying how she spoke with him on the phone not long before the shooting and she expressed her love for him. Here is the obit:

Then we read the obit for Brad Frantz (another shooting victim) and it mentions in the first line that he died "with the love of his life Teresa, in each others arms".

Huh? What's going on here?

Which makes me wonder again...do people have a premonition or prompting (or whatever) about their impending demise? This happens so frequently that I've often thought that a lot of people know something is going to happen to them.

I just talked to my buddy, her and her husband were seperated (i was told due to him and not her, whatever that means) They had been seperated/on the verge of divorce for over a year, and she was with her new "boyfriend", who was also shot and killed.

Gotcha. I figured it had to be something like that.

Reminds me of the post I left a month ago that included the names of several elders and sisters from my mission. Three members of this board told me they knew one of the people named. And to think, that was just a two-year span from one of 300+ missions. It makes me wonder how many two-year blocks from any mission that the members of this board would not collectively have a connection to.
