Talk about a switcheroo. That's like preparing to go out on a date with Rachel Bilson, and then finding out at the door that she got sick, and had to send Janet Reno in her place.

My friend was pretty bummed about the call change, but she's going where He wants her to go.
wow, do you go to the Ranch Branch? I never really put that together. If so, my ward sacrament meeting is right before yours.

I remember hearing her talk while I was in the foyer (per my previously stated boycott of Sunday School). I recall her talking about getting up for South Africa, then getting called into the office by her Stake President to be told that she was being reassigned to Tennessee. My thought: that sucks.

Then I started reading myboynoah's posts. And I thought, wow, that sister is really lucky.

Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.
