I was raised a LA hater. From my youth, I was taught of goodly parents that it was better to see things like the USSR win the cold war than LA (dodgers/lakers et al) win championships.

But I could always respect some of the players from the great Lakers teams in the 80s, etc. Worthy is my favorite all-time Laker.

There is no one on the current Laker team I find compelling. And I think Gasol is repulsive. It's enough to have me consider not to just root against LA, but actually root for the Jazz.
