I was disappointed in the lack of cleave, but it was nice when the camera panned from behind to get those Palin leg shots.

Is it true that the candidates knew the questions beforehand? If so, how boring. Last night was fairly uneventful as is....both played it safe and there were really no memorable gaffes or inspiring answers...but if the candidates knew the questions beforehand, then no wonder Palin seemed coherent. As well as Biden.

No, I didn't read it there. Nor do I recall reading BG's post. But a quick google search shows quite a few articles discussing the altered format for the VP debate and how the McCain camp wanted to limit interaction as much as possible:

http://www.studlife.com/news/1.750397

http://www.slate.com/id/2201334/

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/21/us.../21debate.html

I may have simply mispoke on the pre-determined question part.

I'm glad you agree.

Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.

Gullibility strikes again.
