a lot of industries want regulation because it protects them from competition. The result is almost always bad for the consumer. This is one thing that is making health care out of control expensive. Those regulations don't come without a price.

will help the patients by reducing never events, hospital acquired infections, improve care and outcomes. So they are actually good for you and I. But agreed, they come at an expense. An expense they pay to us.
