"world leaders" now pressing US government to act

It seems 3 things can be at work here:

1. Paulson, Bernanke & Co are right and we're playing with fire, big time.

2. Paulson & friends are wrong, as is most of the rest of the world, and the wisdom of the fed up American taxpayer will be seen as prescient.

3. Some hybrid of the two above, or something entirely different.

I predict a longer term factor will be a concious move away from having the US as the financial hub of the world economy. I'm imagining that more than a few leaders around the globe are anxious to rid themselves of the situation where Nancy Pelosi has this much power over their economies.
