Default If I had to vote for President today

I would vote for Bob Barr.

Personally, today, I don't think whether you vote for McCain or Obama, that it really matters. You will get essentially the same thing.

I don't think I like Bob Barr much as a person or a politician, but at least he is not the establishment.

I like people who vote for Barr. I hope lots and lots of people vote for him. He's a great candidate.

I don't care if someone wants to vote 3rd party, but this ranks in the top 5 of ignorant statements made on CG.

Yes, you are right. McCain is more likely to start a war with Iran.

Otherwise the same.

McCain was a war hero, Obama will never even come close.

So now were up to two.

McCain did a heroic thing in declining to leave the prison, because he was a man of privilege and influence (through no doing of his own, he was born into it).

But frankly, I don't see getting shot down and imprisoned as being more heroic than any of the guys that risked it all on the front line. I met a guy, African-Am guy, who in Vietnam was the smallest guy in his unit. So he was always the one that had to investigate tunnels and such. That guy is a hero. But you'll never hear anyone say anything about it.

He should run for president.

You're comparing McCain against fellow legislators, not against grunts that went into tunnels. Compared to his associates, he is a hero.

Like Kerry?

Didn't his service in Vietnam actually count against him?

McCain didn't fabricate aspects of his service.
