Ding! We have a winner! I am Idaho bound. Can't wait.

Sorry Cougarguard Studs...looks like I'll miss the Ulcer three years running.
P.S., you suck and are a loser.

Come on Arch! Pull me up the mountain in Idaho! It's only 4.5 more hours on your drive, and you'll be in lovely Sun Valley.

Did I mention they have natural hot springs out there? Not a bad day...century ride through the forest, up over a scenic mountain to a blue, mirrored lake and back. To finish it off soaking in a natural hot springs in the evening sipping my ...er, having something cool to drink.

Ahhh...hey, but you have fun breathing in the 87° heat, and dust from the tumbleweeds. I'll be thinkin' of ya.

Same day or different weekend? I don't mind doing two in successive weekends, as I will need the distance.

Here's the skinny....

Ulcer - 8/11
Sawtooth Century - 8/18

http://www.sawtoothvelo.org/default....vid=23&catid=0

...if I ride the Ulcer...would I have enough left the next weekend for a major climb? (I am a wuss at climbing) Two flat century rides in two weeks...I think I could do.

But, I'm a little concerned over this tortuous climb up...and back.

Naaahhh.....Forget it! I'm going to soak in the hot springs!

(actually, there are some other outside forces in my life that may preclude me from riding in either of these! )

I would like to do a century every day, what's this about one a week. Wimp.

I might do it if you do ULCER.

Might take you up on it...maybe...it might kill me.

So...let's see...option #1 or option #2?

Option 1 - Sawtooth Century -
To start out riding here:
http://www.forwolves.org/ralph/image...dermts1-sm.jpg
...over the top of this summit:
http://www.philmages.com/thumbs/ID08...y%2075.tif.jpg
....and riding to here:
http://www.svguide.com/s05/svgs05_cover.jpg
...and back again.

Or, Option #2- The Ulcer -
...starting the ride from here:
http://www.lifeinthevalley.com/image...ving_point.jpg
...around here:
http://users.adelphia.net/~fewhaley/pics/UtahLake.jpg
...past here:
http://www.confluence.org/us/ut/n40w112v4/pic1.jpg
and back again.

Have I dissuaded anyone from doing the Ulcer and joining me in Idaho? And come on...with a name like "Ulcer"...there has to be something behind that!

No one told me their wouldn't be any women in the group. I may have to rethink this if I have to look at Archaea's butt all day.

You won't have to worry about looking at me, you'll be looking at Q and he will look at you.

I still believe almighty Creekster is sandbagging. If we can bring that cycling princess of SLC down, that would be much appreciated.

That sounds like a good ride. I got to share those hot springs with the women's national ski team one night. I'm sure it wasn't as memorable for them as it was for me.
