Plaisted's improvement from Fresh-Junior yrs
Was reading a post on another board claiming Plaisted hasn't improved since his Freshman year, and asked the poster claiming otherwise to examine the difference in numbers per minute played from Fresh to Junior years. It was the poster's claim that Trent declined his sophomore year, and his apparant improvement this year from his Sophomore year to his Junior year equates to him being roughly the same as he was his Freshman year.
At any rate, I took the bait, and silliness aside, here's the results, posted on this board because I can't post on the other at work. Year PPM RPM APM TOPM BlkPM Frosh 0.48 0.24 3.42 8.67 3.30 Soph 0.44 0.21 4.09 5.73 4.71 Jun 0.58 0.30 5.67 8.50 3.54 Note that I factored the last three columns by 100 in order to not have such small fractions... |

Yeah - I don't know how to post a graph. I had one in my Excel file. Sorry. If there's an easy way, let me know and I'd be happy to do so.
Basically, the increase is as follows, from Freshman to Junior years: Points per minute: 121% Rebounds per minute: 121% Assists per minute: 166% Turnovers per minute: 98% (or a 2% decrease) Blk per minute: 107%. |

Better rebounder and better passer. Not much significant improvement, otherwise. Sounds about right.

output your graph as a JPG file and then host it on photobucket. People swoon when they see a BYU graph.
