And when will we have both at the same time? Perhaps I should just not watch basketball as it is impossible to camouflage a lack of athleticism in basketball.
Jonathan Tavernari was completely exposed tonight. The two shots he did make one was from about 5 feet behind the NBA line and hit the rim, then the backboard then bounced in, the other one he had a man right in his face and it was also from NBA range. He really struggled, I give MSU a lot of credit for playing tough man to man D on him all game long and not letting him get his shot off.

Also MSUs big three down low worked tirelessly on Plaisted, they were very chippy with him and did a nice job of dislodging him and keeping him further way from the basket than he would have liked.

Biggest play of the game was when BYU was up 1, Plaisted gets a huge block, the crowd is loud on its feet and Murdock gets picked in the open court and gives up a huge layup.

Good call on that one. That was a huge momentum shift back and forth in about 5 seconds.

I wondered a couple times if the players were getting the NBA line confused with the college line. JT's shot selection was a joke. Point guard play killed us. When we play athletic teams, we end up running the offense from 35 ft and it kills our ability to make the right passes or hit the three when we rotate the ball.

I completely agree, even Trent was getting the ball a lot further from the basket than he is used to.

I thought that was one of the keys to the game. That big red-headed dude was pushing Plaisted off the blocks all night. If Plaisted had a big rear-end like Shaq he could have just put it in reverse and backed it in. Sometimes a big beefy ass is a post player's best asset.
