Default A win tonight?

Do we get a win tonight?

I see this team as more of the same, building our hopes up through the season and a one and done in the Tourney, but how will we match up against USU?

the main reason we can't win in the tourney is because we don't win enough important games in the regular season. Sure we pile up a lot of wins against mediocre competition but in the past we have struggled agaisnt any opposition on the road and against top 50 teams. Beating USU might not seem like a big deal to our fans, but in the past we have struggled to win games like that. The most important games of the season are ASU, Wake Forest and Tulsa.

If we win those we will certainly do well in the MWC and our non-conference credentials will be strong enough to get us a seeding where we can win in the NCAA tournament. I didn't think we played well against A&M last year, but in at least three previous NCAA games you really can't say we played badly. We were just very overmatched, and that is because of seeding. And we got those unfavorable seedings because we couldn't take care of business on the road or against top 50 teams. This year's team seems to be good on the road and the USU game is a good sign for how they'll play against decent teams. I think we will beat ASU. After all, we're probably better than IUPUI.

Let me know how it goes. I'm going to be *playing* basketball rather than watching.

He's talking about the USU game. We won. We don't play again until ASU this Saturday.

How do we guard Harden? Will we zone, use a blend or man up him?

you try not to breathe on him. Otherwise it's a foul.

first time I saw BYU play this season.

Man, we are very, very bad at the 5 position. Poor rebounding, poor defense, poor offense all at the 5. It is very bad.

When your 4 is not very athletic and is a poor rebounder (Tavernari), then that sets up for teams to absolutely kill you on the boards.

BYU should have won the game. They tightened up at the end and couldn't score, turned the ball over way too much. Couldn't get in front of Harden, and a few ticky-tack calls against BYU lead to a loss.
