There isn't a huge gap from where this team is at now to where they need to be to win a Tourney game. BYU plays a good game, they beat A&M last night. We're not even a player away - we have all the players on the team we need to have to win in the tourney. We just need better play from them.

I know the popular thing right now is to rail against the failures of this team, but we're not far off from being able to finally put this NCAA Losing streak to bed.

Here's hoping we get a win or two next year.

IMO, BYU's biggest problem is the lack of mental toughness:

Too many missed FTs.
Too many offensive rebounds allowed.
Taverneri launched a panic bomb with over a minute left in the game.

Just a few examples right there.

We have been close enough since Araujo but lack of discipline and toughness have been our hallmark failures.

BYU should develop the hallmarks of playing tough, smart and hard. if we can't develop those trademarks, we will never win in the Tourney.
