Maybe that is the reason. I won't ever know the answer, but if it is the reason I find it a bit disappointing. The church of all institutions should be the leader on such a fundamental issue.

There were many churches that favored equal rights, and I am unaware of any of them ceasing to exist as a result of their support.
Again, it's only a hypothetical.

More to the point, it illustrates how unknowable these things are. Thus, vigorous arguments for one specific theory, especially one that casts the prophets and membership as disobedient rubes, are sadly misplaced.

Sweet mercy, if this is how you interpret what's been said after more than a week of posts we might as well all quit talking.

Yes, I'm the only one here who engages in hyperbole.

Default Can we declare this the burned over topic?

Not to spoil anyone's fun, but I think that we all know where we stand on this topic and everyone has re-articulated their position about a dozen times. No one seems to be getting more persuasive, including me.

Maybe it is time to lock this cateogory and move on to some other mystery of the universe.

Is stamina a zero-sum game, because if you all have this much stamina in this area, me wonders about other areas!
