1408 and
1408 and Vacancy. Strange it posted itself while I was typing. Must have hit a short cut key for post now.
Vacancy Haven't seen any scary movies for quite a while but we watched Vacancy a few weeks ago and it truly scared the crap out of us. We were freaked out, holding each other like SpongeBob and Patrick during those scenes when you saw the tapes in the room and realized what was going on. Once the bad guys showed up the tension was over and the last hour or so was boring and goofy. 1408 Vacancy got us in the mood for more scary movies. Someone told me 1408 was much scarier than Vacancy and would scare me to death. Not so much. There was some good tension when he first goes in the room, but it's over quickly. I read some posts on IMDB that said the original ending was for the guy to die in the room, which leaves you a nice theory that the whole thing is a Jacob's Ladder flash back when he's drowning in the surf accident. That's a nice angle, but the ending they went with destroys it. Last edited by jay santos; 10-23-2007 at 09:39 PM. |

I walked away from the movie thinking that Shia Lebeouf is going to be in a lot of films. He seems to be a good actor for his age group.

Disturbia was silly. My wife loved the asian kid. She kept saying over and over how funny he was.
Agreed on Shia. That kid is a star.

I remember seeing him for the first time when my son was watching a Disney show and I said "this kid is going to be a star". Even though he was in a very cheesy show, it was clear he could act.

Yes...there's a pretty cool clip here of him joining Indy and some of the crew that was debuted at ComicCon this past year.
