Default More real deposition material.

This was a deposition of one of my clients yesterday. He has sued his grandaughter (who at this point as stay-way notices served on about half of her relatives) for a fairly significant chunk of change she hasn't paid him for construction of a new house. My guy is about 80 and very hornery. Opposing counsel is trying to assert that my guy is a sub and should look to the general (who is my guy's son and her father) rather than her so he is asking about other people who were there and what their roles were.

So he goes through and asks about half a dozen people and what they did while my guy explains each person's role. Then he says (paraphrasing):

Counsel: Was there anyone else out there working?

Plaintiff: Yes. John Doe.

Counsel: Who is John Doe?

Plaintiff: John Doe is my son's father in law.

Counsel: And what did he do?

Plaintiff: He gave my son his daughter (dead pan).

Probably not as funny as it was in context but I about lost it.
