Thuggets vs. Lackers
The misspelling above for Lakers was accidental, but as it turns out, appropriate.
First full NBA game I have seen this season. Thoughts: 1. It's the Nuggets' series to lose. 2. C. Anthony has to have one of the most beautiful, effortless offensive skillsets in all of basketball. Beautiful stroke, always under control. 3. Andersen--I really like this kid. Active on boards, monster on defense. Had I had the height and athleticism of this kid, I like to think I would have probably been this kind of player. Off-the-bench defensive scrapper. 4. It was hilarious to see Fisher flop on that 3 pointer. No one touched him, he kicks his leg in the air like he has just been hit with a sledgehammer. 5. Bynum is the modern-day resurrection of the Tyranosaurus Rex, i.e a pea-brain. It's like they took Plaisted's* basketball IQ and transplanted it into Bynum's body. 6. Billups, another fun player to watch. He's the guy we secretly hope will punch Fisher in the nose. *Plaisted apparently played two games overseas and got hurt. While I am tempted to make a crack about.....well, never mind..... |

Game 2
1. Where was Bynum after the first quarter? Talk about a non-factor. 2. Fisher was awful. Flopping around and throwing up airballs. 3. Told ya (^Nuggets' series to lose). ==== In other NBA news, if I am the Jazz, I do not keep Boozer. Of course, the caveat being if you can actually find a marquee free agent that would want to come to the state of Utah and play under Sloan. There may not be one. So in that case you have to stick with Mr. Overrated. |

It was ironic that Arriza had a great play to win game 1, and then made a bonehead play to lose game 2. The world is in balance.
