How has your day gone so far?
I just got done digging out a piece of glass from the ball of my left foot, at my desk.

I went to the 12:01 Indiana Jones, didn't get to bed until after 3, and have been up for less than an hour. My day has been fine.

Went to the airport to pick up my mother and sister last night and missed the first half of the Lakers and Spurs. I tried talking my wife into picking them up for me but she wasn't having it. Anyway, picked them up and then everyone was hungry so I picked Pier49 pizza because I knew they'd have the game on. Got there only to see the Lakers down 20.
They came back and won. I am having a great day.

It is going awesome. Oil was up $1.50 in pre-market trading. Cramer was screaming that gas was going to $5 a gallon.
Right now oil is down $1.17 a barrel and I went short oil when it was up. I hope talking about this doesn't jinx me now. |

They are saying in a few years that gas might be at $15 per gallon (this was linked on Drudge).
When I was a kid they said that the world would eventually run out of oil. As I got older, I scoffed. But apparently the fundamentals point to their being a shortage of oil in the next 20 years as countries develop and grow. Maybe my textbooks were right after all. It's not silly to think that gas prices will rise in the summer season. |

American Idol is over finally, so my wife won't watch that twice a week anymore. Today is a good day because of that.

Excellent!
Slept great last night after signing the lease on our house in Kaysville. Nice to have that stress out of the way. And then enjoyed my 10 minute drive to work immensely. And it's a new job where nobody knows me yet so I don't have a lot to do or many demands either. I need to enjoy this while it lasts.

MW and I are truly on the same plane. I did this exact thing yesterday in my right foot. I stepped bare foot in glass Sunday before church and it drew a little blood and was very painful but while I tried to extract it, I just dug it in deeper. The pain went away but then slowly got worse and came back severely yesterday. Pulled off my shoe and sock at my desk and the glass (actually more like a piece of ceramic from broken plate) was half poking out and easy to pull out. Just thought I'd share that...

I went to the store, bought tweezers and rubbing alcohol, got back to work and started doing it. It was like the scene with Robert Deniro in Ronin.
You will excuse me now, as I pass out. |
