Default I talked with John Beck over the weekend

I was down to St George for the triathon and ran into Brother Beck. We only talked for 2 or 3 minutes. He and I think Judd Anderton were there. He said he has a goal to throw for at least 50 TD this year. I couldnt tell if he was a very confident person or just real cocky.

I've always thought those are the same things.... and which one it is depends on the eye of the beholder.

I think Beck should have a terrific season this year.

It is the defense that I worry about.

To be a successful QB I think you need that little bit of arrogance.

50 TDs is a stretch, but it's not impossible.

My question is, what were the players doing in St. George? Running the marathon to train for Bronco's Eco-Challenge?

Here's the Tri he's discussing.

http://www.sgtri.com/

I don't know if they made it conform to USTA rules this year or not. Usually the run up the ramp sucks and it's dusty, but the bike course is relatively easy, but the run course is a trail run, not hard, not easy.

I'm with you, live.... Beck is poised for a killer season and with the offense he's in and the fact that he'll need to score 40 a game to have a winning season...

50 touchdowns in 2006 it is!

I am hoping our defense is going to be better than we fear.

I think our dline will be okay. LBers will be fine. Safties good.
