Utefans?

I had my password corrupted and still visit to view, but the character of that board has so deteriorated, I wondered if it were simply my biases, or whether it really is that bad.

I enjoyed Anasazi, Ancient Ute, NYUte, LA ute and a few others, including SeattleBlue.

But, the new groups seem to be a bunch of know nothing ninnies.

I still enjoy it. The trouble is that there are a very large number of new members there that only showed up after the 2004 season.

I agree there are a lot of pinheads there, but it is proportional to the number of pinheads on jefe's board, which I left for the same reason you tend to stay away from utefans.

Webbie can send you your password so you can make your return. Lots of folks would appreciate you hanging out there again. Just use the ignore feature - dare I say it? - liberally.

Utefans has kind of turned in to what CB was during BYU's losing seasons: A place where fans can come to rip their rival and tell each other how to be fans...well, that still goes on at CB too a little.

After enduring a 7-5 season with some bad losses and people questioning coaching, play calling, players heart etc..., one would expect a board to deteriorate just a little bit. Add the rival trolls coming over and baiting the likes of Crimmy and others and it turns out to be a situation where little discussion goes on and lots of name calling takes place.

It's really too bad because despite what some might think, the Ute board used to have some great insights and insiders post there, but many have stopped due to the behavior of the masses, many of whom, like Il Pad said, haven't been there too long.

Here's to better days ahead.

I dont' follow Utefans......I imagine that a very high % of posts are related to sports as compared to cougarboard? So they don't have other topics to fall back on?

Utefans is a wasteland for the ignorant, idiots and pseudo Yewt "fans" who have their head up their ass 90% of the time.

I've pretty much stopped posting there, and don't miss it a tiny bit, and I'm sure they don't miss me either.

What I find ironic is posters like Portland, TopUte/SoCalPat bitch and moan about what Cougarboard is like yet....they've posted over there many more times than they ever have on their own board.

It has changed a lot over the past couple of years. But there is still some funny stuff and occasionally decent insight. Years ago it was the best site online. Now this is, but it lacks the volume. Utefans is now equally yoked with Cougarboard.
