Teo is a once in a lifetime type athlete, and of course we didn't sign him. No surprise i guess.

X being there as well.

probably not, but without those type of athletes, Sugar Bowl victories are hopeless dreams.

I see ESPN is still beating the drum for USC and LSU for X. No mention of the hiring of his HS coach to Utah and how that might influence his decision. Reportedly his father spilled the news that ESPN told him they would broadcast live whenever he made his decision -- as long has he chose USC or LSU. I'll assume that is true because I'm always looking for another reason to hate ESPN.

Well, at least one of the sidebars offers some good news.

TE Richard Wilson, BYU
BYU possessed one of the most explosive passing attacks in all of college football in 2008 and tight end Dennis Pitta was a big part of the attack. The Cougars have shown they will utilize the tight end and have one of the better receiving tight ends in the nation in their 2009 class. Wilson (Spanish Fork, Utah) needs to develop as a blocker, but he could thrive as a target in the Cougars' aerial attack. He has good hands, runs well and is a good route-runner. He also shows good toughness to take a hit to make a catch. Wilson couldn't crack the ESPNU 150, but he did not sit too far outside of it and is a player to watch because his skills fit BYU's system very well.

Hopefully he'll give ESPN the finger by choosing Utah like Whittingham did to the BCS by breaking their idiotic rule of voting the BCS champion #1.

ESPN's pro-BCS bias is only going to get worse now that they are its TV network. You ain't seen nothin yet. But trying to influence the recruiting process really takes the cake, IMO. ESPN is scum.

If Te'o hadn't boozed up on his recruiting visit, gotten busted for it and then run away from what he did lying to the press all the while, he would have been at BYU. Of course, all that would have meant is that if he kept his behavior up he would have been suspended multiple times after signing with BYU and either shaping up or eventually shipping out.

I wouldn't send my son to BYU either, with what happened. Good kid, never touched a drop of alcohol, ends up drunk at BYU? If I'm the parent, I'm suing.

Let me guess, there were about 20 articles on TBS talking about how spiritual this kid is.
