Yeah, I got a Pell Grant, and now I pay thousands more per year in taxes because I got a degree. Pell Grants definitely arent welfare. Smart investment by the government perhaps, but not welfare.

Welfare is welfare. It is a government program.

Pell Grants are are welfare in exactly the same way that food stamps are welfare. Do you think that having a bunch of malnurished poor kids growing up in slums isn't going to cost YOU personally at some point? The point of all welfare is to invest a little bit of money in one place in the hope of getting a return on the investment in a different place.

You have suckled at the teet of big government just like the rest of us.

Nope. But hey, if it is going to be all or nothing with you, I am happy to state that I think Pell Grants should be abolished. But like I said, I have already repaid my Pell Grant anways, so I dont lose sleep at night thinking my argument doesnt hold water with you.

Have you paid back the tit for your welfare checks?

What welfare checks? What does it mean to 'pay back' the welfare?

Wow. Paying back welfare checks = one has a sense of personal responsibility.

Cookie Monster and PBS arent welfare. Never said they were. I was just joshing you by saying "spoken like a true welfare recipient".
