Real Madrid Pres. slams Beckham

Basically says he's only coming to the US because no real teams watned him. I really don't see what good can come of making comments like these. I wonder what the underlying anger is about between the two parties. Even if it's true, what is the point of belittling the man like that? As far as I know, he's not been speaking ill of Real. |

Dunno what's going on.
All I know is that Real Madrid and Real Salt Lake are coordinating efforts to not only have a yearly friendly with each other - alternating between Madrid and SLC - but Real Madrid is also going to put a boatload of money into opening a soccer academy here in Salt Lake to attract the best youth soccer players in the country. It will be both school and soccer for kids. Of course, if the funding for the soccer stadium gets cut because of the now alleged necessary cleanup for some kind of environmental issue, it may not happen at all.
