SeattleUte has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Default The problem with the NCAA playoffs

is that they create the illusion that a team like Davidson, 29-4 playing a lollipop schedule, can go toe to toe and even maybe beat a team like Maryland, 24-8 playing real teams. That's pernicious, and something that could never occur in football.

Was George Mason an illusion in last year's tourney?
And Boise State's '06 football season an illusion also?

Davidson may not win this game. But they are the only one with a legitimate future quality NBA player.

No, that is the beauty of the NCAA playoffs - an alleged more powerful team like Maryland has to prove it can beat an alleged weaker team like Davidson on the court, rather than arrogant conference commissioners deciding that little guys don't belong on the same playing surface as their self-proclaimed power teams.

That doesn't happen in football.

Oh, and BTW how can something that happens in reality create an illusion?

I agree... I think an ACC, SEC, Big 10 etc team that goes 15-14 and 5-11 in conference (for example) deserves to be there WAAAAAAAYYYYYY more than some lame team like davidson.

Are you going to post this on both utefans.net and cougarboard to see what type of hits you get with this on those sites. I say you should do it, because the responses should be funny.
